Custom Crafted Rain Chains

Welcome to our new site Rain Chains - CHG. This site is an extension of City Home and Garden and is dedicated to Rain Chains.

In Japan, rain chains or Kusari-Doi have been used for hundreds of years and copper rain chains or rain chimes can be found on homes, gardens and temples throughout Japan. They provide a beautiful and functional substitute for the rainwater gutter down pipe, and produce a beautiful cascade of water that flows gracefully between the sections. Water from the chains can be fed into a large pot or suitable drain covered in pebbles.

Rain Chains are becoming  more popular here in North America. I discovered Rain Chains at Canada Blooms. The Rain Chain was attached to a Pergola as a water feature. There was a small pipe structure attached to the top of the pergola which carried water along the top of the pergola and then down the Rain Chain to a rock base landing. The water was continuously being pumped  back up to the top of the pergola. I hadn’t seen anything quite like it and thought it was quite beautiful.

*All Rain Chains come with a "V" Hook however we recommend using an installation kit which adds extra support to the weight of the chain during the winter months and helps direct the water better over the chain.
